I am on a mission to unleash performance artists and educators to interrogate current practices, and arm them with the tools that they need in order to enact change.

I utilize consent-based approaches to fuel freedom of exploration in creative processes; to activate agency in storytelling; and to advocate for ethical and efficient practices in our changing industries. I craft physical storytelling for stages, screens, and interactive experiences alike. And I create community-centered performance projects to facilitate dialogue related to the world in which we live and create.

Intimacy choreography from Uncle Vanya, two characters are seen sharing a moment of breath immediately prior to a kiss. One actor, left, is a Black man with a beard; his hand rests under the hair of another actor, right, a woman in a dress.

Intimacy in Performance

I support artistic processes in theatre, dance, opera, improv, and film with ethical and effective artistic techniques, using consent-based tools to fuel storytelling and artistic collaboration..

A photo of Geffen Playhouse's production of Every Brilliant Thing, an immersive performance. A tent of crocheted afghans envelops the audience; we see an actor performing with an audience member in the spotlight in an audience engagement moment.

Immersive Performance

I craft and perform in immersive theatre, themed entertainment, audience-engaged performance, historical re-enactment, and larp. I develop consent mechanics for gamified performances

Professor of Performance

I train future performance artists and teach future theatre educators to engage in anti-oppressive teaching. I highlight the intersection of ethics, performance studies, craft, and pedagogy.

Consent is Key to Effective Collaboration.
