15 years teaching devising, performance, and pedagogy

Area Coordinator of Theatre Education at California State University, Fullerton

I believe that educators arm the artists of the future with the tools for enacting change, regardless of age. I have taught at every age level from early childhood education to graduate students, and have developed consent-based pedagogy as anti-oppressive teaching praxis for theatrical classrooms and production processes. Because I am passionate about quality theatre pedagogy, I have developed and lead a state-approved teaching credential program in secondary theatre education at Cal State Fullerton.

Creating & facilitating training for professional artists

Guiding Faculty at Theatrical Intimacy Education; Guest Teaching Artist

As a Guiding Faculty, I have helped develop and facilitate TIE workshops worldwide, notably at the Court Theatre in New Zealand and the Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. Further, I have developed and facilitated devising workshops and somatic acting training (including RasaBoxes) in the US, UK, and Canada.

I also create and facilitate workshops that utilize embodied and theatrical approaches to support interdisciplinary learning. See examples below!
