Group of people in colorful clothing performing a dance or theatrical act against a bright purple background.
Two dancers engaged in a performance, with one person holding the other's face gently, on a dance studio floor. In the background, a child kneels and appears to be joining or observing, with another person standing nearby.
Two people engaged in a physical fight, one person grabbing the other by the hair, in a dark setting.
A woman lying on a vintage-style sofa with her legs over a man sitting next to her. The woman is wearing a dress and boots, and the man is dressed in dark clothing. A small table with a bottle of champagne and two glasses is next to the sofa. The scene appears to be from a theatrical performance with a dark, ornate background.
A man and woman share an intimate moment, holding each other's faces with their foreheads touching, in a dimly lit setting.

Consent is Key to Effective Collaboration.

Intimacy Choreography is a specialized artistic technique for effectively crafting performances of heightened emotional and physical intimacy, as well as an ethical approach to performances in which actors are asked to leverage their lived identities onstage. As an Intimacy Choreographer for theatre and Intimacy Coordinator for film, I facilitate clear communication between actors, directors, and production teams as well as creating moving and memorable choreography that supports storytelling while making performances sustainable for performers over time.

I do this by advocating for consent throughout the artistic process, facilitating clear boundary communication, and crafting specific, detailed choreography for performances of intimacy, ranging from kisses to graphic simulations of intercourse. I also support policy development and implementation.

My goal is always to support artistic teams in consensually crafting powerful performances.
