Intimacy Choreography
Intimacy Choreography is creative and technical expertise used to shape live performances related to sexual encounters between characters, as well as content that leverages race, disability, religion, or age with appropriate cultural context and competency. Bringing this expertise to a production supports the creation of sustainable performances and consistent storytelling over a show’s run.

Policy Writing
When policies or expected communication practices are unclear, many creators and production teams become fearful that unintended harms may be dealt with in an unspecified and severe manner. This limits communication and establishes working environments characterized by power imbalances. Setting up clear and specific policies regarding consent, cultural competence, and intimacy in production practices helps to create a shared vocabulary and understanding among team members.

Intimacy Coordination
Intimacy Coordination is administrative and artistic expertise that supports clear communication from pre- to post-production in filmmaking processes. An intimacy coordinator works with the production team and the actors to ensure that everyone’s boundaries are respected and that all of the logistical and legal considerations that come with filming intimacy are attended to.
